One lovely dark green fern mounted on a torn edge paper that has been hand printed by me. I use Geli plate printing technique (so much fun!), tear the edges and then mount the fern.
A very unique design in the 4 x 6" gold frame. Frame is sealed and has a green velvet ribbon at top.

I use various mounting papers and deckle edge card stock; some finished pieces have two or three layers of background paper. For the torn papers in the collage I use vintage French papers and documents as well as vintage botanical images.These papers are torn and placed behind the flowers.
These collage pieces are such fun to make! As a designer I love the variety of the pressed flowers combined with papers.
And be sure to keep them away from direct or bright light.
