FRAMED PRESSED FLOWERS, native Columbine, collage design, pressed flower wall art, vintage paper with columbine flowers

An unusual size! A 6" x 4" oval frame with a lovely green velvet ribbon.

Native to North Carolina, these red Columbine flowers are from my garden: dried, pressed and enclosed in this frame of two pieces of glass with a gold/brass frame and clasp. Because these are original, real flowers (not painted or touched up at all) they will tend to fade over time. Keeping them away from any direct light will help to prevent this.

Finished size of gold frame is 4" x 6".

Remember: this is a one of a kind item!

I use various mounting papers and deckle edge card stock; some finished pieces have two or three layers of background paper. For the torn papers in the collage I use vintage French papers and documents as well as vintage botanical images.These papers are torn and placed behind the flowers.

These collage pieces are such fun to make! As a designer I love the variety of the pressed flowers combined with papers.

And be sure to keep them away from direct or bright light.
