A wood frame with 2.5" around each edge. Each frame is painted, front and back, with a fun color. A mirror is inserted into the frame, a foam core backing is then inserted, and both are held securely with clips.
The background color here: a soft and lovely cream is a perfect backdrop for the dramatic deep purples and deep greens.
The 2.5" border gives me lots of room to play with dried flowers, paper and vintage bits: these are held in place with ModPodge and then a sealant.
Truly unusual! All kinds of flowers from my garden are used; and I collect many types of paper. These are fun to make and I am sure you will get comments when you hang this! (It also has a sawtooth hanger on back.)
